Sender Identities
A Sender Identity is an email address assigned to a staff member that they can use as the "From" address when composing emails. Each staff member must have at least one sender identity to send email through QuantixOne.
What Is a Sender Identity?
A sender identity ties a specific email address (e.g., john@yourbusiness.com) to a staff account. When John sends an email in QuantixOne, the recipient sees it as coming from john@yourbusiness.com.
You cannot create a sender identity using an unverified domain. Complete Domain Setup before adding any sender identities.
Sender identities must use a verified domain. See Domain Setup to verify your domain first.
Navigating to Sender Identities
- Go to Settings → Channels → Email.
- Click the Configure tab.
- Scroll to the Sender Identities section.
Sender Identities are managed in the Configure tab.
Adding a Sender Identity
- Click + Add Sender Identity.
- Enter the Email Address (must use a verified domain).
- Enter the Display Name — this is the "From" name recipients see.
- Select the Staff Member to assign this identity to.
- Click Save.
Enter the email address, display name, and assign it to a staff member.
Assigning Multiple Identities to One Staff Member
A staff member can have multiple sender identities — for example, a personal address and a shared team address. Add multiple identities by repeating the process above.
In the email composer, the staff member chooses which identity to send from using the From dropdown.
Managing Permissions
You can control which staff members can send from a shared identity. On any identity row:
- Click Manage Permissions.
- Add or remove staff members from the allowed list.
Control which staff can send from a shared sender identity.
Editing a Sender Identity
Click the Edit (pencil) icon on an identity row to update the display name or reassign it to a different staff member.
Deleting a Sender Identity
Deleting a sender identity removes it from the From dropdown for every staff member assigned to it. Any staff relying on it to send email will be unable to do so until a new identity is assigned.
Click the Delete (trash) icon on an identity row to remove it. Staff members who had this identity will lose access to it in the email composer.
