Deal Activities: Notes, Tasks & Appointments
Every deal that's linked to a contact gets its own Notes, Tasks, and Appointments — a lightweight activity workspace scoped to that one opportunity, so your team can log context, plan follow-ups, and book meetings without ever leaving the Opportunities section.
How Do I Open a Deal's Activities?
Open a deal's ⋮ menu — from a row in the Opportunities table, or a card's menu on the Pipeline Board — and select Notes, Tasks, or Appointments. All three open the same panel; use the tabs on the left to switch between them without closing it.
Note: This panel requires the deal to be linked to a Contact. If a deal has no linked contact, you'll see a prompt asking you to link one first — Notes, Tasks, and Appointments are all stored against the deal's contact.
How Do I Add and Manage Notes?
Open the Notes tab and click New Note. Write your note in the rich text editor (bold, lists, links, and other basic formatting are supported) and save.
Each note shows the author's avatar, name, and timestamp. From a note's ⋮ menu you can:
- Edit — update the note's content.
- Delete — remove it permanently.
Use the Pin icon to pin an important note to the top of the list — useful for context that should stay visible, like a key objection or a special pricing agreement. Click again (or Unpin) to release it.
How Do I Create and Track Tasks?
Open the Tasks tab and click New Task. Each task has:
- Title — required, a short description of what needs to be done.
- Type — Call, Email, Follow Up, Meeting, or Other.
- Priority — High, Medium, or Low.
- Status — Pending, In Progress, Completed, or Blocked.
- Due Date — when the task should be done by.
- Assignee — who's responsible for it.
Completed tasks show with a strikethrough so your team can scan what's outstanding at a glance. Click any task to edit its details, change its status, or delete it.
How Do I Book and Manage Appointments?
Open the Appointments tab and click Book New Appointment. This opens the same booking form used across QuantixOne's Calendar module — pick a calendar, an available date and time slot, and confirm.
Existing appointments for this deal's contact appear in the list; click one to open the edit dialog and reschedule, add notes, or cancel it.
For the full detail on calendars, availability, and booking pages, see the Calendar module docs.
