Pipelines & Stages Setup

A Pipeline is a structured sales funnel that defines the journey a deal takes from initial contact to close. Each pipeline is made up of Stages — the individual steps in your process (e.g., Qualification, Proposal, Negotiation, Closed Won).

You can create multiple pipelines to match different sales processes — for example, one for Enterprise deals and another for SMB deals.

Click the Settings icon (gear icon) on the Opportunities page and select the Pipelines tab — or go to the Pipeline dropdown on the board and click Manage Pipelines.

Pipelines tab in the Opportunities Settings page The Pipelines settings page shows all your sales pipelines.

For each stage, enter:

  • Stage Name — A clear label (e.g., "Qualification", "Demo Scheduled", "Proposal Sent", "Negotiation", "Closed Won").
  • Position — The order this stage appears in the funnel (left to right on the board).

Click Save after adding all your stages.

Reordering Stages

To change the order of stages, drag the reorder handle (grip icon) next to each stage up or down to the desired position.

Click Save to apply the new order.

To rename or update a stage, open the pipeline, click the Edit icon next to the stage name, make your changes, and click Save.

Deleting a Stage

To delete a stage, click the Delete icon next to it in the pipeline editor.

Note: Before deleting a stage, make sure there are no active deals in that stage. Any deals in a deleted stage will need to be manually moved to another stage first.

Deleting a Pipeline

To delete a pipeline, open the Pipelines settings page, click the More Options menu (three dots) next to the pipeline, and select Delete.

A confirmation prompt will appear showing how many deals are currently in the pipeline. You will be asked whether to:

  • Move deals to another pipeline before deleting, or
  • Delete all deals in the pipeline along with it.

Note: Deleted pipelines are moved to the Trash and can be restored within your retention period.
