Quality Rating

WhatsApp assigns a Quality Rating to your phone number based on how contacts interact with your messages. A low rating can restrict your messaging throughput and eventually lead to suspension.

RatingDisplayMeaning
Green★★★High quality — keep it up
Yellow★★☆Medium quality — monitor closely
Red★☆☆Low quality — action required

Common Causes of Low Quality Rating

  • Contacts blocking your number
  • Contacts reporting your messages as spam
  • Sending unsolicited messages to people who never opted in
  • Template messages that feel promotional when submitted as utility
A red rating restricts your daily message limit

When the quality rating drops to Red, Meta reduces your messaging throughput tier. If it stays red, Meta may suspend outbound messaging for the phone number entirely.

Improving Your Rating

Opt-in is the most effective fix

The single biggest driver of quality issues is messaging contacts who didn't ask to hear from you. Build an explicit opt-in step into your contact collection process and your rating will improve within days.

  • Only message contacts who have explicitly opted in.
  • Keep template content relevant and non-spammy.
  • Honor unsubscribe requests immediately.
  • Review and clean up your contact list regularly.

Verification Badge

A blue verification checkmark appears on your WhatsApp Business profile when Meta has verified your business. This badge increases contact trust.

Verification is managed through Meta Business Manager. QuantixOne displays the verification status but cannot initiate the verification process — contact Meta directly to apply.

Account Status Alerts

Suspended accounts cannot send or receive messages

A Suspended status means Meta has disabled the account due to a policy violation. All outbound and inbound WhatsApp messaging stops immediately until Meta restores access.

If your WABA is suspended or banned by Meta, a red alert banner appears at the top of the WhatsApp channel settings and inside the conversation composer.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Check your Meta Business Manager for any policy violation notices.
  2. Submit an appeal through Meta's Business Support if you believe the suspension is in error.
  3. Once Meta restores the account, click Reconnect in QuantixOne.
